The first phase has been completed, the aim of Phase 1 was to renovate three schools (Ahmadiyya primary school, SDA School and Roman Catholic), replace roof (due to bats destroyed) and fix the drainage because the groundwater affected the schoolbuilding.
Partly thanks to several donations actions we have now 35,000 EURO which almost doubled by WG.

Smarter Hospital is sponsoring hospitals and schools in Sierra Leone.
In the province of Yele are five schools, two high and three elementary schools.
At present there is contact with Maria Estrella from Yele to get an overview of supplies needed for the three primary schools.
Eventually one of the three primary schools will be sponsored.
As a first action the project “Shoe boxes” has been set up.
The primary school Werkhof in Werkhoven is currently making shoeboxes for children in Yele.
These shoe boxes are filled with daily necessities for the children, such as body care products, toys and learning materials.
This teaches the children at the Werkhof school to share with other children who are in desperate need.
Currently there are already 8 shoeboxes sent to Yele. They travelled in the container, sent by the Lion Heart Foundation. These 8 show what the project entails and is a preview of more to come.
The first 8 shoe boxes are made and filled by family and friends.
